Product design of a large-scale digital banking ecosystem, including:
- A mobile app (iOS & Android) for private clients and business
- A corporate website for products presentation and onboarding
- A web banking application for managing personal and business finances
- An internal CMS platform for managing customers and optimizing their digital experience
The project aimed to create a scalable design framework and ensure consistency between user-facing and internal systems. Work was based on best UX practices, extensive user research, and continuous validation in dedicated UX laboratories through moderated testing sessions and customer interviews.
Mobile Banking Application
Objective: to design a secure, intuitive, and high-performance mobile experience that enables users to manage daily banking operations efficiently.
Design Approach
- Conducted field studies and user interviews in UX labs to define key behavioral patterns
- Implemented atomic design architecture ensuring scalability across features
- Introduced simplified navigation, contextual shortcuts, and adaptive dashboards
- Designed cross-platform UI libraries aligned with Material Design and iOS Human Interface Guidelines
- Integrated advanced features such as biometric login, smart notifications, and dark mode
- Validated concepts through multi-stage usability testing and A/B experiments
UX Research & Design System
Research Framework
All design hypotheses were tested and validated within dedicated UX laboratories, where customers participated in interviews, prototype sessions, and usability tests.
- User personas and journey maps were developed based on behavioral research
- Key user flows underwent quantitative and qualitative evaluation
- Iterative testing cycles allowed early identification of usability issues
Design System Development
- A cross-platform design system was created to unify UI across digital channels
- Over 250 components and design tokens were developed and documented
- Established Design Ops processes for collaboration with development teams
- Unified accessibility standards and interaction principles for both iOS (SwiftUI) and Android (Jetpack Compose)
Web Banking Application
The web platform enables customers to manage accounts, cards, loans, deposits, and investment portfolios through a secure and responsive interface.
- Creation of a modular dashboard with personalized financial widgets
- Optimization of transactional flows (payments, transfers, loan applications)
- Full responsive adaptation for desktop and tablet environments
- Enhanced security UX including two-factor verification and device management
Corporate Website
Purpose: to establish a transparent digital entry point for customers and partners, consolidating product information and enabling online applications.
- Developed a modular content structure for efficient scaling of marketing pages
- Rebuilt the information architecture to simplify product discovery
- Added interactive calculators, smart filters, and dynamic application forms
- Applied accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1) for improved inclusivity
- Designed CMS-ready templates allowing quick updates by non-technical staff
Project Outcome & Design Leadership
The resulting ecosystem established a cohesive, data-driven digital banking environment that enhanced both customer experience and internal efficiency.
